Bio

Nick grew up in NY where he received a B.A. in Biology and Psychology at the University of Rochester. He was on his way to medical school when he entered a commercial contest with his college buddy, Dave Horowitz, and it changed his life. He put off med school so he could work as a Line Producer and Assistant Director on the feature film, Niche, and then took a little detour to LA so he could pursue an M.F.A. at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. His thesis film, Diwali, won a Director’s Guild of America Student Film Award and he was invited to the Cannes International Film Festival as part of Kodak’s Emerging Filmmaking Showcase. Since then, he’s founded A Matter of Sense Productions with Horowitz, directed several commercials, shorts and training videos and wrote the book for the stage musical, Beyond Sight, that had a successful run in Hollywood. He’s currently a Senior Directing Instructor at the Los Angeles branch of the New York Film Academy.
